Ex-Two Inch Astronaut member Sam Rosenberg who now records and performs as Mister Goblin releases a new single ‘Military Discount’ from the upcoming album Bunny on Exploding In Sound. The track opens with a crushing noise section that immediately implies a tonal shift from the previous releases which were more acoustic, much heavier and more akin to grunge with heavy screamed vocals and pounding drums and guitars. ‘Military Discount’ is about precisely that; the strange phenomenon in America of shops giving discount to veterans on fireworks “It’s kind of written from the perspective of a shiesty used car salesman type of person who is trying to pawn fireworks off on military people,” Rosenberg states, commenting on the bizarreness of this “given that PTSD and hypervigilance are so common among veterans.” -Toby Evans-Jesra
